Centerless grinding machine usually refers to a grinding machine where the workpiece is placed between the grinding wheel and guide wheel without centering or supporting, and the rotating surface of the workpiece is ground using the centerless grinding method. The grinding wheel supported by the support plate and guide wheel is generally installed at the end of the spindle. Grinding wheels with a width greater than 250 millimeters are installed in the middle of the spindle, and the width of the grinding wheel can reach 900 millimeters. The grinding wheel rotates at high speed for grinding, and the guide wheel rotates in the same direction at a slower speed, driving the workpiece to rotate and feed in a circular direction. During continuous grinding, axial feed is achieved by adjusting the small inclination angle of the guide wheel axis, which is suitable for grinding slender cylindrical workpieces, short shafts without central holes, and sleeve workpieces. When cutting into grinding, radial feed is achieved through the movement of the guide wheel frame or grinding wheel frame, which is suitable for grinding workpieces with shoulders or bosses, as well as workpieces with cones, spheres, or other contour lines that are curved.
Grinders have developed to the present day and have considerable strength. With the improvement of the performance and reliability of CNC systems, prices are becoming more reasonable and widely accepted by users. At the same time, with the increasing requirements of advanced manufacturing and automation technology in production, their use will also become increasingly widespread.
The quality of the preparation work of the grinding machine directly affects the smooth progress of the overhaul work and the quality of maintenance, and should strive for accuracy and feasibility. The preparation work and inspection items include the following:
1. Check the feed condition of the grinding head to determine whether to replace the screw pair.
2. Investigate whether there is a phenomenon of "holding the shaft" during use, what is the bearing capacity, and observe the wear of the grinding head spindle and bearing pads on site to determine the repair and replacement of the spindle bearing pads.
3. Check the guide rails of the bed, column, and skateboard for severe galling and wear, and determine a repair plan.
4. Observe the uniformity of the workbench speed, check the wear of the hydraulic cylinder, and determine the repair plan for the hydraulic cylinder.
5. Observe the working performance of the hydraulic pump and have a preliminary understanding of the performance of the control box. Listen to the sound of the hydraulic pump, measure the flow and pressure parameters, and determine the repair and replacement status of the hydraulic pump.
6. Check the feeding and crawling conditions of the grinding head and determine the repair plan for the hydraulic cylinder.
7. Investigation and understanding of wear and tear on other components.
8. Understand the user's requirements for centerless grinder repairs.
